Where I’m From Poem

I am from busy streets and sirens blasting

To rollers in my hair sitting under the dryer

I am from a family of loud people who seem to dislike using there inside voices

To waking up and it’s a quiet morning

I am from wild parties at my aunt’s house

To music like reggeton and hip hop blasting

From pancakes and bacon in the day

To eating empanadas and platanos at night

A crazy neighborhood and family is where I’m from

Arguments in the day and fights at night

To family members who love to watch fights

I am from the strong and the brave

To the ones who serve proudly
